Champions! The Dallas Mavericks

Finally, the Dallas Mavericks got its first ever franchise title as NBA's champion team of 2011. Dirk Nowitzki was awarded as the finals' most valuable player (MVP) presented by the legend himself, Bill Russel. To whom where the mvp trophy named after. Playing with heart, determination, and passion, Dirk definitely done a great as a team leader.
It was obvious throughout the season that the Mavs played as a "team" to get that sought after title. Specially in the finals' game 6 where Dirk struggles to score in the first half his team mates stepped up to beat the frozen heats. Congratulations to the Mavs! The team deserved it!

For the Miami Heat, losing really is frustrating but there's a bright future for them, they
got talents no question for that. They just have to get over with it and regroup, think and
learn from their mistakes, more determination and lastly play like a team. Failure makes champions.

It's now even for both team, one title each, both beaten on their respective home same at game 6 and in a 4 to 2 series standing. Miami hold the title in 2006 against Dallas.

On the other side of the game, all those Mavs fans who bet for the team'hooray! to all of us guys ha ha. It added up more exciting to the game, a pulsating series game really. A sigh of relief for us Mavs fans the team closed out the series in that game 6, whew. Cheers for the win!

i-witness' Gintong Putik (golden mud)

"Armed with a photo, some old sketchy details and loads of hope, Kara David sets out to find a young boy she met over a decade ago. The search takes her back to the town of Paracale in Camarines Norte.

It was here in this gold-rich third-class municipality, where Kara, who was then a cubreporter on assignment for Brigada Siete, first met Jimmy Dasco. He was only 13 then and was part of a group of people burrowing in the middle of a rice field. They were operating what was called pagkakabod or compressor mining in search for gold. Pagkakabod was livelihood for the locals of Paracale." read more at gmanews.tv

Dirk's lethal weapon

Dirk definitely beaten the heat in yesterday's game as his team

deafeted the Miam Heat in a heart-stopping match. Dirk played

with a high fever but still managed to led his team into victory with

just a three-point lead. Few seconds left, the Heat rallied back led by

Dwane Wade closed the gap to a point, but Dirk answered it with a

crucial right handed lay up tying the series at 2 wins apiece.

Game 5 tomorrow still in Mav's home court. Well, Beat the heat!

TF3: The music behind

A film without the elements of music wouldn't do any good -thats a fact! Here Linkin Park's Mike

Shinoda and Steve Jablonsky talk about the film's music. How LP came up with the song "Iridescent",

the making of the music video, how it fits into the concept of the new film and the song itself. Linkin

Park did all the soundtracks from the first to present -they're doing a great job! While score composer

Steve Jablonsky is the musical director since the first movie and other Michael Bay's films and

produced. A great film deserves a great music. It sounds real good!

Dirk's winning lay up

Stunned faces from the crowd as Dirk Nowitzki got away for a game winning a lay up

stealing the game 2 of 7 series from the Miami Heat's home court. A very crucial game

indeed today, the Mavs tied the series to one game win a piece after trailing a 15 point

deficit in the 4th quarter. Next game on monday in Dallas, Texas a bit of advantage in

the Mavs' side with the 3 monsters on Heat's side its not gonna be an easy game 3 for

the Mavs . Beat heat! :D

Reminiscing the old days

One of the precious and priceless moments with friends. A sweet bonding after each one had not

seen each other for so long. It's been a long eight years since this photo was taken. One of the sad

part is we barely seen each other now. A lot of changes since then, many of them have their own

family now, kids and career, while some gone overseas pursuing each life long dream. Really sad,

but that's how the way life goes. One thing is sure though, it's going to be sweeter and crazier fun in

the future bonding and good times with them.

Global Perspective 2011; Who Says I Can't Fish?

It's a huge issue around the fishing industry of the UK. As the fleet declines, It also affects hundreds

of Filipino fishermen in the country by losing their job, unfortunately I'm one them. I can barely find a

boat now to work with if my former bosses decide not to hire me again. Caused by both governments'

stupid actions. Discards ban, limited days of fishing, rising fuel costs and qoutas are some of the main

issues imposed by the UK government while our Philippine government, imposes an increase in wage

to all UK fishermen more than double. Without thinking what or how It'll affects to both sides during

this times of economic recession thing.

A part of his documentary by the BBC was held in that boat Emulator FR500 my former boat, I was

there during that time. There I realized how serious this issues are. The country's rich fishing heritage

is declining. A very sad thing really not only because of the possibility of losing my job but as a

fisherman myself. Taken from you the one you really love doing is the sickest thing can happen to you.

We love what we do and that's fishing!

Gulls' feast

Amazing shot! Photo taken by survey man Rayner. Thanks mate, I stole your

photo (devil laugh). Gulls feeding on small fishes. They're fun to watch in flock

feeding. How they dive skillfully chasing each prey shrinking slowly down deep.

The funny noises they made, the flapping of wings, flying around following the

boat. Sometimes they can be a bit annoying if you're unlucky enough, when their

poos  landed on your very head. really ewww!  They're everywhere. Fishing just

can't be fun without them.

Original soundtrack from this film. A hardcore drama film -yah, I know, a girly kind

of film. Wasn't really my intension to watch it, but Cameron there, I'm a fan

and was bored on watch nothing to do. so I did. It is actually a good film. Not

so unusual story but they acted it really well. I wept out -yes I did, like a child (smiley)...

It was the background songs really made me cry in a film. Darn sad songs!

In this one, the beach scene where they played the background song  HOME by Chantal

Extreme bare hand fishing (photos)

Super skipper Sean and cookhead Blackie got two cods hooked in.

Survey man Rayner got two too. very nice guy, a marine ecologist, he likes fish much. I like this guy

he's interested about the Philippines, planning to visit the country sometime. and he likes adobo

(blackie's version) which is unsurprising of course it's my country's best, everybody loves it!

Luke, another survey man -a giant one, got a couple couple. Nice lad too, because of his size he

eats a lot. Barely left us a bit of that adobo and rice blackie cooked. They're both very nice survey

lads, glad to met them new found friends!

Me, caught the biggest one, I think. Used a bit of muscles hauling that one.

Here comes my pinoy buddy Dom got one good sized one.

Extreme bare hand fishing (videos)

Super Blackie, my workmate, the cookhead  strikes again! Fishing with

no rods, that's quite a talent. He caught fifteen cods that day

some of us had a couple some got one. We almost filled a box.

That's a world record  for no-use-rod fishing I reckon. Not our

usual way of fishing really but we had so much fun. There was perfect

weather, the sea clear as crysta clear like mirrors, had barely felt a

swell, seagulls' just swimming around peacefully, sun's shining,

a warm lovely day it was.

I'm with a Salmon!

My first time seeing this beautiful fish in person, such a lovely one!

Look at that shiny silver scales, that tender fatty meat,

she just looks delicious. She looks like a Philippine milkfish

but I reckon this salmon can't beat our milkfish in taste

department. Bangus is the best!
